Looking to download the Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 ISO file but don’t know where to get it from? Microsoft doesn’t officially host the ISO file of Win XP anymore but we at Softlay do.

We have the Windows XP SP2 x64 ISO ready to download with just a few clicks. This Windows XP ISO file was taken directly from Microsoft’s official website before it was taken down because its support period was ending on Jul 13, 2010.

Service Pack 2 (SP2) is the latest available update for Win XP Pro 64-bit and it includes previous major updates like SP1 in it.

Note: Win XP 64-bit does not have access to Service Pack 3, to download WinXP with Service Pack 3 you will have to download the 32-bit version of Windows XP Pro.

Windows XP Professional 64-bit Overview

Windows XP Professional 64-bit is the most popular version of XP that was released in 2005. Originally there were two versions i.e. Windows XP Home 32-bit and Windows XP Professional 64-bit. Over time Windows XP x64 ISO became more popular among users.

Windows XP 64 Bit ISO includes all previously released updates for the operating system. This update (service pack 2) includes a few new functionalities but does not significantly change customer experience with the OS. You can obtain Windows XP SP3 from Windows Update, at http://update.microsoft.com.

  • Memory (RAM): 512 Mb
  • Hard disk space: 5 GB available
  • Graphics: Super VGA (800 x 600)

Bottom Line

The Windows XP download and instructions provided on this page will let you install XP on any PC you want with ease.

As a side note, we recommend that you upgrade your OS to Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, or Windows 11 (if your PC hardware supports it). We say this because WinXP is outdated in 2024 and lacks many updates and security features that are available in the latest versions of Windows.
